Ideas for My Film Magazine

MASTHEAD/ TITLE

The Masthead of my magazine will be very bold and unique , it will include a font style that links well with the genre of the film which is horror. The Masthead will also be situated at the top of my Magazine page so that it is the first piece of text that the audience notice and that it attracts them directly . I have thought of different font styles for my masthead I am excited by the  different fonts I have seen after doing a font experiment mood board I would like my masthead to link strongly to the film genre so I am thinking of having a font that includes some cuts and fades  or even spikes coming out of the letters .

LAYOUT/COLOUR SCHEME / BANNER/ SUB IMAGES

The Layout of my magazine will be very bold and eye catching , I have thought of powerful colours that I know will attract the readers/audience. The colours I have thought about are Red Black and Grey/White , red because it connotes boldness and danger which is what horror /slasher films are typically based on . Also looking at various Film magazine front covers the colour Red is always used . The colour grey or white because any piece of text is able to contrast well with the colour and they are two colours that can be used as a background for plain text on the page .

I will be including a banner at the bottom of my page because that is where my sub images will be placed along side the banner and price of the magazine. I thought that adding a Banner at the bottom of the page will make my magazine look more interesting ,eye catching and not to plain . It is also a way of adding more features which are included in the magazine .

HEADLINE

My magazine Headline will be the name of the Character or the tagline  to interest the readers more and to allow them to create thoughts about what the magazine is about and what the main feature is . I am thinking of making the tagline very bold and clear to read same with my headline if I deicide that it will be the characters name I will make the first letters of the name in a bubble writing font .

SELL LINES

The sell lines on my magazine will be situated on the left and right hand side of my page so that the main image is the main focus for the audience /readers reading the magazine . The sell lines will include informative text about the features that will be on my magazine . I will be using sell lines that include names of directors/Producers and actresses.
